Yesterday I had a table at the West Overton Annual Heirloom Festival–a.k.a. the tomato tasting. It was introduction to what I’d like to accomplish with By Lara. Definitely got some good insight as to how much work it is to do this kind of thing. Making the work is maybe half of it…actually selling it is whole different story!

after stopping in stores around the area, i have made plans to sell books/stationary at DV8, a small coffee shop in Greensburg, and jewelry at Penelope’s, a card store across the street from DV8. and on august 22, i will sell work at the tomato tasting held at the West Overton museum in Scottdale.

pictures of new work will be posted soon–there is a lot of it in the making! in the mean time, i have added a jewelry page with images of recently made earrings.

The cover is a linocut from last year. This journal was given as a birthday present, but I have a few more of these prints, so hopefully I can make more to sell. This one has 128 pgs. I used computer paper, which worked well. More like a journal, less like a sketchbook.

New books

Made these over the past couple of days. There is a large black one also, pictures will be up later. The first three images are of a thick 4 x 4.5 Coptic that is covered with an old collograph and pages of Rives BFK. I plan to use these prints often in books and cards, so look out for more of them. The second book is a French binding covered in a thick canvas material and exhibits Mouse, complete with a green bow.
